Thursday, Nov. 1 at 5:00 pm
Wine Tasting & Birthday Celebration at Auden’s Kitchen, 700 East Sonterra Blvd. We will celebrate November birthdays, so all you November babies, join us. Wine tastings are from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Cost: $5.00 per person. SPN will pay the $5.00 admission for current members, who have a November birthday. Happy Hour prices on drinks and appetizers in the bar. Dinner at Milano’s, 11802 Wurzbach Road at Lockhill-Selma, followed by "The 39 Steps" at Sheldon Vexler Theater, located in the Jewish Community Center, 12500 N.W. Military at Wurzbach Parkway. Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 4:00 pm
Wurstfest in New Braunfels. To have fun and see great entertainment, join Larry at Wurstfest & see the ALEX MEIXNER BAND. Larry will be at the HEB parking lot on I35 @ FM 3009 behind the Security Service FCU @ 4 pm. We'll leave at 4:15 and carpool to New Braunfels, which saves the $10 / car for parking. Admission is $8, but if you go to wurstfest.com, they have a two for one coupon you can print out. If you don't want to carpool, meet at the Big Tent by 5:15 to get a table together. Saturday, Nov. 10 at 9:30 am
Nature Walk at McAllister Park, 13102 Jones-Maltsberger at MoneyTree. Easy walk. The park entrance is located on Jones-Maltsberger, halfway between Thousand Oaks and Bitters. After entering the park, go 1/4 of a mile to the Turkey Roost Parking lot. Meet at the Pavilion. Call Rick, 519-7953.

Saturday, Nov. 10 at 5:30 pm
Dinner at Tejas Steakhouse & Saloon; Rodeo, and Dancing at Tejas Rodeo Company, 401 Obst Rd. in Bulverde. This is a fun place. Rodeo starts at 7:30 pm. Admission for the rodeo is $10. Dance to a live band after the rodeo, around 9:00 pm. RSVP by Nov. 2 to Rick, 519-7953.

Thursday, Nov. 15 at 6:30 pm
Bridge at 1 Towers Park Lane, Apt. #2102. Nancy will provide the main dish. Bring a side dish to share. Cost: $4.00. RSVP by Monday, Nov. 12 to Nancy at 365-3519. Directions: Coming from Loop 410E, take the Harry Wurzbach exit and go south (inside the loop) for 3.9 miles. The Towers (25-story building) will be on the right. Enter the second gate to the Towers and park anywhere. Enter the building through the first set of automatic doors. Nancy will have someone at this door to let you enter the building and key the elevator to reach the 21st floor (apt # 2102). If you are early or are running late, use the call box on the left just inside the first set of doors or call Nancy at 365-3519.

Gourmet Dinner at Joe’s, 526 Pershing. Joe is offering another gourmet meal, with a “bacon theme”. Cost is $20. Bring your favorite wine, and tell why you brought the wine and what you like about it. Seating is limited, so call early. RSVP by Nov. 14, Joe, 410-8079.

Happy Hour at the Eilan Hotel at La Cantera. $5-$6 drinks and $6 appetizers. Exit 1604 at IH10 west, stay on access road (as if going to the Rim) to La Cantera Pkwy. (If exiting off IH10, take exit 555.) Turn left, go under IH10, and the entrance to the Eilan Resort will be on your right (after the entrance to Fiesta Texas). Look for the sign.
